Hi my name is Rithik. Welcome to my blog post . I am going to share about what we learned.

We learned about consent. Consent is when you ask someone if it’s okay to do something, and they say “yes” because they feel comfortable and safe. It’s about making sure everyone agrees before doing something together.Consent is important because it helps everyone feel safe, respected, and happy. Remember, if someone changes their mind and says “no,” you need to stop, even if they said “yes” before. Think you for reading my blog post.

The Tuareg rebellion

The Tuareg rebellion from 1990 to 1995 in Mali and Niger was a war driven by the Tuareg demand for autonomy and better representation. Fueled by economic crises, droughts, and political marginalization, Tuareg insurgent groups launched attacks against the governments of both countries. The war was marked by violent clashes, military reprisals, and civilian suffering, particularly after massacres like the one at Tchin-Tabaradene in Niger. Peace accords were signed in 1995, ending most hostilities. However, the war left behind unresolved issues, including regional underdevelopment and ongoing tensions between the Tuareg and central governments.

Peripheral Vision

Welcome to My Blog Post!

This week, we dove into the world of Peripheral Vision. It’s a fascinating part of our eyesight that lets us notice things that aren’t directly in front of us. Have you ever noticed something moving out of the corner of your eye? That’s your peripheral vision at work! It’s what helps us see things to the side while we’re focusing on something else.

My friends and I decided to test our peripheral vision to see how far we could see when something was coming from the side. We created a simple experiment where one person would slowly move an object from behind another person’s head until they could see it without turning their eyes.

Here’s what we discovered:

  • Rithik:

Red                        blue               Orange                 green

50 30 40 30

  • Yuri :

Red                     blue                 Orange                      green

95 65 85 70

  • Zeke:

Red                   blue                     Orange            green

90 90 120 70

That means Yuri has the best peripheral vision in our group! But I’m determined to improve mine, so I’ll keep practicing.

Why is Peripheral Vision Important?

Peripheral vision is crucial because it helps us stay aware of our surroundings. It helps us notice things like cars coming from the side when we’re crossing the street or a friend waving from the side of the playground. Without good peripheral vision, we might miss important things happening around us.

Try It Yourself!

If you’d like to test your peripheral vision too, all you need is a friend and a small object like a pencil or a small ball. Have your friend stand behind you and slowly move the object from behind your head to the front while you focus on something straight ahead. When you first notice the object from the side, that’s your peripheral vision kicking in!

Here’s the link to the guide we used for our experiment: [Insert Link Here]

Thank you for reading my blog post! I hope you have fun testing your peripheral vision just like we did.

Sir Howard Morrison

Howard Morrison was a key figure in New Zealand’s entertainment scene, especially during the mid-20th century. He was born on August 18, 1935, in Rotorua, New Zealand. As someone with Te Arawa and Irish heritage, he was proud of his Māori roots and often incorporated Māori culture into his performances.

In the 1950s, Morrison started performing with various Māori cultural groups, which led him to become more involved in the entertainment industry. By 1955, he was forming vocal groups that entertained at local rugby clubs. One of the most famous groups he was part of was the “Howard Morrison Quartet,” which became very popular in New Zealand during the late 1950s and early 1960s. They sang a mix of popular songs, often with a humorous twist, and added elements of Māori culture into their performances.
